Goin back to school....

So the girlfriend and i decided i had time and needed to fill it, and since i was close to begin with i should finish getting my degree...Sooo after gracefully removing my medula oblungoda from the anal region of my body, i decided to look into things. So hopefully (reads if i can get the money together to start out) once i fill out the app. i will be taking classes and finishing my associates degree. Kinda excited about it too. I look forward to the course work...and itll be nice to be a college grad at some point i hope.

I'm only two classes off from my Community College of the Air Force associates. I need to get it knocked out. Since I get 100% tuition assistance and can take CLEP/DANTES tests (in lieu of taking class) for free, there are not too many excuses I have. Should have had it done a few years ago. Goal is to knock it out this year so I can get started on my bachelors with the goal of finishing that before I retire after the next 11 years.

Our county college has a program for volunteer firefighters in the county to allow for really cheap tuition. There is also another college (4 year) in the area that gives 25% off tuition for volunteer firefighters.

i thaught bout going back to school but me and school never got along
i have my bs in Fire Science and Tech but ive never used it and most likely never will.
I might go to a trade school in the fall learn a new trade since the housing market fell through and not many carpenters working like befor

Haha, i learned that last one there a loong time ago Cali!! But i hear ya!! Thanx again everyone for the well wishes. Im kinda excited about it. And to make things better i applied for a position as a part time fire saftey coordinator for a large assisted living/ nursing home campus here in our district today!! So makin steps, hopefully they call me back! I may be turnin to some of yall for some technical help with classwork though!!! Thanx again everyone!! This is why we are a big family here!!

So just to update everyone since its been a while since ive been able to make an appearance here, i just about wrapped up my first week, finishing Cause and origin fire investigation. Seems to be going well except i am having a difficult time finding enough time in a day to get everything done that needs done!!! Anywho, my personal life is a bit of a disaster, but some of you know thats nothing truly out of the ordinary. It was getting better, and still is somewhat...just got one minor kink to work out. I am still alive, and doing rather well all things considered. Anywho, figured since i had some free time i would let everyone know how i was doing and all. And you all are always on my mind, i think about yas often and hpoe you are all doing well. Tommy, brother, how are things with you?? Kimmy, i see you are in your usual high spirits!! Glad to see things are still rolling along smoothly here!! Talk to you all soon.

Things are going well enough brother. Daughter is now about 13 lbs and is 4 months old. Time is flying already. Other than that I'm taking it easy for now. I've got Fire Instructor I coming up the end of August (I know, scary thought of me as an instructor).

I'm glad to hear that, for the most part, things are going well with you.

Hopefully this next month I'll be installing those lights I got from you. But first I have to get through surgery in two weeks to remove my tonsils, adinoids and uvula.

Excellent Tommy!!! Great to hear that everything is going well enough for yall!! Im still getting the rest of things in order, but for the most part ive ironed myself out. Ta hell with the rest of em basically...me, my kids, work and school...thats whats important right now. And ive been gettin it all lined up and knocked down. Biggest thing is keeping my mind off the other crap sometimes. Anyhow, Kimmy, ya know i wouldnt leave ya outta straightenin out some peeps....just haven needed any assistance yet....almost lined one out myself a few weeks ago!!
