OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. -- A 44-foot boat caught fire at Oak Leaf Marina on Ferry Road, authorities said.
The Old Saybrook Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at about 3:50 a.m., where firefighters said they found the Sea Line boat engulfed in flames at the end of the dock. More than 22 firefighters responded with three engines and a rescue and fire boat on loan from Island Cove Marina, officials said. They were assisted by Oak Leaf Marina and Sea Tow staff. No injuries were reported, according to a statement from the fire department. The Old Saybrook fire marshal's office said it is investigating the cause of the fire.
