Moving on.
My wife and I had a little talk today, and since I have had slight problems at work, after my return last year, and this nagging feeling that my days are numbered where I work and she has had a hard time finding a job in this area, so we talked and decided that we should look into another market. So if all goes as planned we will be moving east, to North Carolina, just hope I can find work out there. And also a fire dept that I can call home. Will keep you guys in the loop with when and where.

Best of luck to ya Carl! Look up Jim Fox (I have his e-mail if you need it). He may know of a department looking for help and maybe even someone hiring.

Normally I would say screw that, come to Michigan! While I may be able to find you a Fire Dept, a job is a whole different story. Of course if your looking for depression like circumstances, Common Up!

sounds good, Chief Dave, I am honored to hear that, just will have to move wife and her parents up there. They are getting up there in age, and my sister in laws family just experienced a tragedy of their own, so my wife, said it was her turn to take care of her parents. I did the same with my dad back in Norway, and can do it again.

Good luck Carl, I guess I am way behind the curve on this one. I'd be glad to have you on my department...the job market is a little lacking here like in Dave's neck of the woods. Hope things work out for you.

Scott, I am going to be in the eastern part, Greenville area, there is a vol dept in the bump in the road where we will live

I know it was not you, Scott, he said that he had had that number for some time. We will be coming eastward in September and yes, we are travelling I 40.

hey scott, did they ever get the rock slide cleaned up on i40 from easter weekendish? when we drove to ft jackson we had to detour becuase of it.
