3 Counties North Of Edmonton declare State of Emergency

Ah the spring is upon us, and as per usual, the grass and wildfires have begun to rear their heads and reak havoc for dwellers on the Alberta Prairies.

This is the latest updates for wildfires in my immediate proximity, and sadly, the list is expanding not decreasing as Sturgeon County has now joined in with Lamont County and Strathcona County in the declaration of State of Emergency.

Needless to say, the crews are being kept somewhat busy with this recent turn of events, and with limited rainfall, and excessive amounts of dry standing vegitation and stubble in the crop fields, compiled with high winds that are buffetting the region, we got us a REAL SHITSLING goin!
